1/2 Marathon

I am so excited about this!!! I've decided that I would run the 1/2 marathon on November 15. A couple of girls for school are doing this. We all joined a running team to help us prepare for this. I have never run more than 2.2 miles, so 13.1 will be a HUGE change. I am so excited because I have people to support me and to keep me accountable to reaching this goal. If it goals well, I hope to do more!

Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?

I sure hope so!!! I will be teaching 5th grade next year. I have been wanting a change in grade level because I feel that it will help me grow as an educator. However, I was not thinking 5th grade. I was going more for 2nd grade. I was asked by my administrators to make the change. I thought it over and decided it would be good for me. I've taught 4 years in 3rd grade, so I'll be starting my 5th year in 5th grade. I'm so excited about getting some of my kiddos that I had 2 years ago! Can't wait for new adventures this year!

Books

I love reading!!! Over the summer I read about 10 books. Once school starts I still read, but it takes me a long time to finish a book. I just finished Marley and Me. It was a cute book.

I am hoping that the movie will be cute. I just started The Last Lecture. It is very good. I'll let you know how it goes and let you know what I will be reading next!
